What is your process like?
Inquiry → scope confirmation → contract & deposit → design & revisions → handoff
How much involvement will I have in the project?
Clients are invited to participate at key checkpoints, but are not expected to manage the process.
How long does a typical project take to complete?
Timelines vary greatly depending on project scope and client responsiveness. For example, web design projects may fall anywhere between 1 and 12 weeks once a start date is confirmed, depending on the complexity of the project.
How do you prefer to communicate during the project (email, phone, video, etc.)?
Email is my preferred method of communication for most project work. Certain project steps will benefit from one-on-one Zoom calls.
Do you offer rush jobs or quick turnarounds, and do they incur additional fees?
At this time, I do not offer rush turnarounds, as my current offerings are already designed around efficient and realistic timelines.
Will I have one main point of contact, or will I be working with a team?
You’ll work directly with me, unless otherwise specified in our contract, based on specific project needs.
What happens if I’m not happy with the initial design or results?
Each project includes a defined revision period to ensure the final result aligns with the agreed scope and direction. Revision details are outlined clearly in each project contract.
What specific services do you offer (e.g., logo design, SEO, content writing, social media marketing)?
Offerings may vary, but I focus primarily on:
-WordPress website design & customization
-Website redesigns & refreshes
-Brand identity & direction, including custom logos
-Print & digital graphics
-Educational digital products
-One-on-one client education and assistance
Do you have experience working within my industry or niche?
My educational background in business, marketing, and the arts has allowed my work to span multiple industries, namely tech, business consulting, music, and art. I’m also open to project proposals from clients outside of those industries if I feel we can effectively communicate about your field or niche. If you’re unsure, shoot me a quick inquiry email, and I’ll let you know!
Can I see examples of your past work or case studies?
Yes! This is one of the best ways to get a feel for the quality of my work and the strategy that goes into my creative process. You can find a featured selection of my work here.
Do you offer fully custom builds or bespoke themes from scratch?
No. I customize, adapt, and design within WordPress frameworks. This means you’ll receive a site that is intentional, clean, functional, and, most importantly, manageable. A design adapted from a pre-existing frame represents an ideal sweet spot for creatives and small brands that don’t want an overly complex structure to maintain.
To reiterate, my expertise is primarily in marketing strategy and creative brand strategy. While I do have working knowledge of backend terminology and functioning, I prefer to leave extensive code customization to those who specialize in that area. This allows me to focus entirely on strategy, design, and providing you with a streamlined web presence.
Do I need a custom build?
Most solo creators and small businesses do not need a fully custom build.
Can you build my site on a different web platform, like Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, or Wix?
I currently accept WordPress Projects only.
Why do you only offer WordPress?
Long story short, WordPress is the world’s most dominant CMS (content management system), offering unparalleled flexibility, total data ownership, endless expansion via plugins, and custom code. Its huge ecosystem helps ensure the longevity of your site.
It’s also cost-effective long-term: it doesn’t require expensive monthly platform fees or force you into feature upgrades. This is especially appealing to my clients, who are often small creators and solo-preneurs funding a project themselves with a limited budget.
What kind of customization can you do within WordPress?
Theme customization, layout design, content structure, plugin configuration, WooCommerce configuration, and visual styling.
Will my website be mobile-friendly and optimized for different devices?
Yes. All sites are designed with responsive themes and tested across common screen sizes.
Do you offer SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services?
I follow basic on-page SEO best practices during site setup (clean structure, readable URLs, proper heading hierarchy).
However, SEO performance is an ongoing endeavour that benefits from sustained effort and dedicated monitoring. Because of this, I do not currently offer continuous SEO support (keyword research, ranking guarantees, performance optimization, etc).
Do you offer ongoing support or maintenance after the project is finished?
Sometimes. Ongoing support is often not possible for me to provide if I am working with multiple clients at a time, and the availability of this service depends heavily on my schedule. Because of this, support options are decided on a per-project basis and typically have defined start and end dates.
How much do your services cost?
My prices vary greatly based on project content and scope, and can range from $1,000 to $12,000+. For detailed pricing information, please review my project bundle options here.
Do you charge hourly or a flat project fee?
I have recently switched to project-based pricing, meaning I now charge clients based on concrete deliverables, not my time. This protects my boundaries as a freelancer, and protects you as a client: you can rest assured that you’ll be paying an exact amount with no risk of extra hourly fees creeping into the equation.
What is included in the price, and are there any potential additional costs (e.g., stock images, plugins, hosting)?
Project pricing covers agreed-upon deliverables. Additional costs, such as premium plugins, hosting, or stock assets, are discussed in advance if needed. I do not collect tips; my prices adequately reflect a fair payment for my services.
What are your payment terms (e.g., deposit required upfront, milestone payments)?
I require 50% of the project fee as a non-refundable upfront deposit to secure your start date and timeline. The remaining 50% will be paid at the end of the project timeline, before final delivery/site handoff.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Invoices are issued via email. Payments are accepted via Interac e-Transfer (Canada) and Stripe (credit/debit) for international clients.
Who is responsible for providing the website content or images?
This depends on the selected project scope. Content responsibilities for the project will be clearly outlined before the project begins.
What exactly will the final deliverables include?
This depends on the selected project scope. A project’s final deliverables are clearly outlined before the project begins. To get a better idea of available services and package offers, you can explore my service menu here.
Will I own the website and design files once the project is complete?
Yes. Once full payment has been made, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you, as outlined in our written contract. This includes the completed website and its associated assets required for normal use across digital platforms. I only reserve the right to display the work I create for self-promotion purposes.
Editable source files (such as .AI, .PSD, or other working files) are included only when specified in your selected package or purchased as an add-on. All clients receive final, web-ready files suitable for use online and in standard marketing materials.
Do you provide training on how to update the website myself?
Yes! I offer my clients a complimentary 1-hour education session and a PDF guide on the essentials of managing their new site.
You also have the option to opt out of this part if you feel that you have a handle on things, but keep in mind this offer is one-time only and will end upon project completion.
